Is summer over?

 - by admin

I have been complaining of scourging heat the past few days. Thanks for a quick getaway to the beach and I was able to enjoy the summer. But is summer over already? It has been raining lately that I am suspecting rainy season is coming very soon. As they say, need to prepare for inevitable and stock up some good supplies at home, not to mention that we need to do some repairs with the house. So now, I am noting down things that needs to be improved around our home. I am thinking if I should consider getting pls laser already.

I wonder if it’s available online. Let me do my research.

Changing lights…

 - by admin

My husband and I have been thinking to change most of our florescent lights in the house to led lights. They said that LED lights can save on electricity consumption. I just wonder where to get the right supply of LED lights. A friend warned me to be careful in buying since there are a lot that poses as original LED lights but they are actually not.  I have to review some sources in the internet.

Baby Boom!

 - by admin

It seems like this year is really a baby boom! I have heard of good news from friends recently about being pregnant. I guess their husbands have been reaping the rewards of side effects of progene, lol! In fact, some of my friends are nearly 40 years old already and still happy to get pregnant.  Most of them are active so having a baby even on delicate years can still be managed.

Musically-inclined…

 - by admin

This is the stage where one of my daughters performed for their annual school play. It has always been my proud moment to see my little girls perform on that stage as their final culminating activity every year from their preschool. My second daughter has really some inclination with music. In fact, she wants me to enroll her for a guitar class this summer. I am still looking for a perfect school where she can learn the basics of playing a guitar. Not much yet for the Tech 21 but basics will do. Maybe I should check the nearby mall for some studios.

Extremely Busy…

I have been in hiatus again with my blogging.  Things have been hectic v and I just can’t squeeze in writing.  There’s a number of things I am getting busy with, from family life to business. Work is tremendously eating my time and I can’t even have time to check out the new business my cousin is introducing to me. He is actually into buying gold coins. He says it’s the new wave of the market this time and getting into gold business is the next thing I should think of. I am not sure if I am for such but I am hoping I could give time to it in the long run. For the meantime, let me just enjoy this sweet and short vacation to just relax and thing of nothing!

Road Trip…

Enjoying a road trip with Beyonce playing on the background…

The above is a DVD copy of Beyonce’s LIve Concert in New York. I can feel the beat of the Roland electronic drums so I was literally dancing while driving. As to how I do it, you will be amazed! lol! This is what I love also with long drives on my own. I can just be myself. A time of my own to pretend no one is watching! Sometimes, it is good to have such personal time. ;)

Wine Tasting

 - by admin

We had an experience of wine tasting in Temecula, California.

It was $10 to taste 6 kinds of wines from Monte de Oro. One of the premium vineyards in California. From the wine tasting hall, you can take a peek at the barrels of wines underneath which are all stored in a cool room.

The place also offers and sells other products like cigars. Though I am not sure if those are the same as macanudo wines, which are known to be aromatic.

DH and I enjoyed that experience. :)

She’s busy…

After more than two months, I am now fixing our pictures from our last US trip. I found great photos to share like this one…

This is my youngest getting busy choosing a toy from their favorite toy store, Toys’R Us. She have been wanting to get one of those plush stuff toys from the movie Happy Feet. Obviously, she enjoyed picking out some toys while inside the store so as her elder sister. We did had a great time doing ou shopping there. We went to about 5 outlet stores. My husband was able to grab some from the north face clearance, while me on the other hand took advantage of getting clothes, shoes and make-up from the different stores.  Outlet shopping is really part of our regular itinerary!

Valentine’s Dinner

 - by admin

So how did you celebrate your Valentine’s Day? What did you have for dinner? We do not usually go out during Valentine’s Day since we got married. We used to when we were still on steady. But for the past 10 years, we have been either celebrating it on a different date or we just eat in the house. Of course, I usually prepare good and hearty meals for my dear husband. For this year, we had the following: Grilled Rib Eye Steak, Beef Ravioli, Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing and for dessert was Brownie ala Mode. Thanks for my house helps for making it easy for me to work around the kitchen. They have prepared all the ingredients even before I arrive from work. And they are at ease now in using our new undermount kitchen sinks ;)

Backtracking: Chinese Feast…

 - by admin

Oh I forgot to make a story about the adventure last Chinese New Year’s Day together with my friends. We went to Binondo to watch the festivities and enjoy a sumptuous lunch as well from President’s restaurant. It is the popular choice for Chinese Restaurant in the area. We also went around to buy some lucky charms and amulets. I also got some lucky decors for our house. We passed by a number of old chinese stores that doesn’t only sell food but also all kinds of merchandise. You won’t believe that there are even Leki Poles for sale there ;) We also got some famous take-out food like siopao, siomail and even roast duck! It was indeed a very fun experience. We are even planning to repeat that food tour/walk ;)
